E.A. conducts two state-wide home school conventions, one in Springdale and one in Searcy. The Education Alliance also holds Arkansas' only state-wide home school graduation, with over 100 graduates each spring. The Education Alliance has lobbied the Arkansas Legislature since 1999, providing expert testimony and other information to defeat bad home school legislation. The Education Alliance has also had the opportunity to work with the Arkansas Department of Education and other state agencies in efforts to improve education conditions around the state. It has conducted media interviews on home schooling. The Education Alliance also provides free home school packets to parents who are considering the option of home schooling. |
